The Origins of Barnstormers
Barnstorming was a popular form of entertainment in the US in the 1920's, in which stunt pilots would perform tricks with airplanes, either individually or in groups - called a flying circus.
Barnes cricketers' flying circus, the "Barnes Stormers", perform in the Middlesex Development League (MDL) U/21 and ECB U19 Club NatWest U19 T20 with...
- Coloured clothing, pink balls and blue stumps.
- “Champions League-style” groups of four clubs compete on Sundays from late June after exams to get into the “Knock-Out” stage!
- MDL matches last 80 overs, with the first innings replicating the MCCL principle of batting a maximum of 55% of the overs available (44 overs). In the Knockout Phase, teams bat a straight 40 overs each way.
Stormers u/19's in the NatWest U19 Club T20 Blast! competition.
