Directions to Club

The Barnes Cricket Club's main ground & club house is beside the River Thames in Barnes. Middlesex League matches are played here, as are most Sunday and Mid-week matches.

The Middlesex 3rd XI & Thames Valley "Barnes Wild Geese" XI play home matches at various grounds as shown on the Fixtures page. Directions can be found via the links on the right.

National Rail:
The nearest station is Barnes Bridge, 600 yards from the ground. Face the river and turn right. At La Strada keep left into Lonsdale Road. The Club is about 300 yards on the right. Barnes Station on the line to Richmond and Shepperton, has a more frequent service but a longer walk. Exit the station and turn left. Walk up Station Road till you reach Barnes Pond, and continue to the left up the High Street to the river. Turn right into Lonsdale Road as above.

Tube:
The nearest tube station is Hammersmith, from which you will need to take a bus.

Bus:
From Hammersmith Bus Station, the 419 stops in Lonsdale Road by request. Ask the driver for Barnes Sports Club, just passed Walnut Tree Close. Or the 209 stops at Barnes Green, from where you walk up Nassau Road to the river and turn right.

Car:
From Hammersmith: go south over Hammersmith Bridge and turn right at the first traffic lights into Lonsdale Road. The club is nine tenths of a mile on the left.

From Putney or Roehampton: go north up Castelnau. Turn left at the lights by the Red Lion Pub along Church Road. Continue past the Pond and along Barnes High Street to the mini-roundabout by the river and turn right into Lonsdale Road. The Club is about 300 yards on the right.

From Richmond: on the A316, turn right into Lower Richmond Road at the second set of traffic lights at Chalkers Corner. Follow the road past the Stag Brewery, and left at the mini roundabout into Mortlake High Street. Go straight across the next mini roundabout, past Barnes Bridge Station, and left at the third mini roundabout into Lonsdale Road, and the ground is about 300 yards on the right.

From Chiswick Bridge: turn left at the first traffic lights at Chalkers Corner into Lower Richmond Road, and then as above.
